As a photographer we get to capture all of the hard work and dreams that were put together by our couples and their incredible vendors. Seriously…I don’t know how people can come up with so many wonderful things, but when it happens…I am in awe. Amanda and David had some great ideas for their wedding and they employed the gifted planner, Jenny from Jenny J. Cook Events. Truly, this peacock colored/themed reception was so classy and lovely. I felt like I was part of one of ‘Bruce Wayne’s’ elaborate gatherings {okay. that was a nerd alert. we like batman.}

We have been blessed with a lot of wonderful couples this year…and Amanda & David are no exception! Truly we’ve had such a wonderful time getting to know them and have loved working with them and their wonderful planner, Jenny J. Cook. Enjoy the warmth from their day, even though it was the coldest May in recorded history!




I loved the moments Amanda had with her dad {which I must mention…her dad is such a sweetheart} before the wedding. She had gotten her dad a special gift…and I just could not love their reactions more.




The guys were also getting ready at the Westin and we got there just as David was about to head down for his First Look with Amanda.

We are always BIG fans of the First Look before the ceremony. It allows the bride and groom to get the chance to shake off some jitters with a moment alone as well as getting some really great images beforehand. We took these just outside of the Harvey Gantt Center. It was BLUSTERING and windy, but we wanted to honor the request to have these taken outside…and I must say…I am SO glad that we did! The wind added such a romantic and dramatic feel to the already emotion-filled First Look.

After their First Look…we jumped on the trolley to head on over to the church to get some bridal party pictures.




The groomsmen were a lot of fun!
