The past couple of weeks I’ve had some crazy good time to reflect. Daniel and I have been able to meet with some key people that have encouraged us to not be satisfied with status quo. I really can’t wait to put these in to practice and share some tips with you guys….and you know that that I don’t share anything that I don’t try to practice myself.
Our first tip is this…try to shoot in the most flattering of light. A lot of times, Daniel and I would just try to be flexible with the times scheduled for our clients. BUT…the more we thought about ir, the more we felt that as your photographer we owe it to our clients to shoot in THE most flattering light possible. We’re the professionals and that means my clients depend on ME to tell them the truth. So we’re working to strictly schedule our sessions during this kind of lighting.
Now…there are times when scheduling just won’t work for sunrise/sunset. So…we look for areas that have great shade and great reflected/diffused lighting. Any lighting can be used…but don’t be afraid to look for those areas. This is really a preferential thing…but do not be afraid to make sure that you insist on the best lighting and locations possible.
Sunday, we had two shoots…and one was shot at sunrise…and one was shot at sunset. Believe me when I say, I can’t wait to share both of them with you! I’ll give you a sneak peek of each. The first is Carla Eustache, owner of Style Perfect Events. The second image is a tease…it comes from one of our April brides, Trina, but it’s just the ring shot. Those bridal pictures will be shared in detail AFTER she marries David!
