    {Married!} Sheila & John Palmer

The day threatened rain and it was SO cold outside, but that would not dampen the spirits of Sheila. She was ready to marry her best friend. Originally the wedding was to be outdoors at Queens University, but with the cold weather and the possibility of rain, it was moved to their family church.

The cool part was, Sheila and John Palmer had decided to do a ‘First Look’. A ‘First Look’ is when the bride and groom see one another before the wedding. It gives privacy, helps some nerves get shaken off and allows an ample amount of time to get pictures with one another. We recommend this to all of our bride & groom couples. When Daniel and I were married, we had a ‘First Look’ and loved how special and intimate that time was.

A special thanks goes to the wonderful Rebecca of Millie Holloman Photography for allowing me to second shoot this wedding with her. Rebecca was the perfect example of humility, generosity and patience. Thanks for becoming my friend!

This is when they saw each other for the first time. Love their response.

LOVE the flowers. They smelled amazing.

Below is one of my faves.

It’s such a cool touch for the bridesmaids to have their own ‘personalities’ added to accent the look. In this case, loving the shoes!

Love this shot of Sheila and her dad just before the processional. It was the last photo taken, as there were no shots allowed during the ceremony. Trust me, the ceremony was beautiful.

John Palmer’s grandmother was precious. I LOVE older people. Seriously. I am a believer that the lines on one’s face are indicative of the life they’ve lived. Her wrinkles speak of a life full of love and happiness.

The reception was at the Pewter Rose in Charlotte.

{Alyse from Alyse Woodward Events} did a great job helping to plan and coordinate this event. She’s a ray of sunshine and awesome to have!

    {Married!} Nicole & Danny part 2

If you didn’t see yesterdays post. Stop right now and {click here} or scroll down to see it. You WON’T want to miss Part 1 of Nicole & Danny’s amazing wedding in Wilmington. No joke. Her dress, shoes and the details were amazing.

Nicole and Danny were married on October 31st, so they had some costumes and props around to make this part especially fun! The band was the House Band at the House of Blues and really put on quite a show. EVERYONE had a great time dancing.

So let’s get this party started!

The beautiful tables were from Courtney Arnold at Stellar Events.

Check out that cake! Nicki’s Cakes did a phenomenal job!

This was not your typical father/daughter dance…it was so cute and sassy!

The party stretched on until midnight. Some just could not do the whole night….

Before guests left, they had a ‘wish tree’ for Nicole & Danny to leave sweet messages for them.

There was one last dance…and then they were on their way! Don’t you love her getaway dress?

It was an amazing day! I hope that I have the opportunity to shoot another wedding as memorable as theirs was. Brides…the more details you have, the more of your personality you include into your day, the more it will translate in your images.

{Rachel}, you rocked. Case closed. I look forward to an opportunity to second shoot with you again!
