Okay. So you are probably thinking 3 posts for a wedding, is that really necessary? Well, the answer is yes. I was so blown away with what Daniel captured…that I could NOT cut it short. This part of the post will be dedicated to Kristin & Peter. See…one of the things Daniel and I stress most on a wedding day is making time for pictures of just the two of you. It’s easy to get caught up in a million family shots, that most likely, you’re not even going to print, and forget the reason for the day, you and your spouse.

Kristin really understood that …and with her wedding being after 5 pm in October, she knew that daylight was of the essence. I’m so glad that they didn’t skip out on pictures of the two of them…especially after seeing these…. Come back for part 3 of some SUPER-fun reception pictures. But until then…leave them a little comment love.

I met Kristin when I first moved to Charlotte through a church we both attended together. We worked on the same volunteer team together…and one of the great things about the team…is that it was the stage set-up team. That included sound, mics, the stage and more. Impressive, right? Two girls with no prior experience…making sure things happen.

Kristin was always a trooper and I never heard her complain. She’s not just someone who works hard–but she’s so kind to others. She makes people feel important, included and cared for. Seriously, have you ever seen someone SO GORGEOUS who has all of these wonderful qualities? I could probably count on a few fingers someone with a character such as hers. I knew that when she met the right person, he’d be a VERY lucky guy. Insert Peter.

We were doing a special shoot for Kristin… then Peter contacted us from Denmark {yeah, the country}. Both he and Kristin were to be headed soon on a vacation to Italy. He wanted a great surprise for her for Valentine’s Day. So he asked us to create a book of all of the images from Kristin’s {Just Because} shoot. We set it up with a lot of white space for him to be able to write in it. In those white spaces, he wrote all of the things he loved about her and more. Oh yeah, she’s met a prince.

Did I mention that the wonderful Kymm McLean of Who’s The Fairest did Kristin’s hair and make-up? Gorgeous..and the red lips…were awesome!

Daniel caught this moment with Kristin, her mom, sister and grandmother. I just love it. This is a family that truly loves one another.

Can I just say I love how Daniel shoots? I love SHARP images with GREAT color…and of course, beautiful people.

Anyone who knows Kristin, even a little bit, knows that she’s a woman of fine fashion and GREAT shoes! Let’s just call her the Carrie Bradshaw of Charlotte. All of Kristin’s bridesmaids had different color shoes. I thought it was a super nice touch!

…a prayer before the ceremony…

I love the bond between Kristin and her father. These pictures SCREAM, ‘Daddy’s Girl’…especially the one’s from the reception…but until those are posted, check out Kristin’s face when her dad sees her in her dress.


Everytime I see a father/daughter image like this one below…I just dream of my Daniel and Stevie walking down the aisle one day to her prince. I get so weepy.




The bubble exit was epic. There was no shortage of bubbles. The secret: bubble machine in addition to the bubbles blown by the guests. Genius!

Needless to say we think a lot of this special couple….and we were thrilled when they inquired with us about their wedding day. Sadly, I was unable to shoot with Daniel at their wedding, because I am only days away from delivering our first child! BUT we were able to secure a wonderful second shooter to assist Daniel.
