{Personal} 30 is the new 20

Who says 30 is old? Not me. Heck no! In fact, I turned 30 on the 21st of April. Crazy…just crazy. I can’t believe I’ve been out of high school for 12 years, out of college for 8 years, out of grad school for 6 years, and married for 3!

I am blown away when I look back over my life, my accomplishments, my past hurts, my happiest moments and more. I have SO much to be thankful for these past 30 years. Great people have come into my life, great opportunities and great love/passion. I’m so so grateful.

Since I’ve been with Daniel–birthdays have got even better….and this year was NO exception! We drove down to Augusta, GA, to visit my family for a PAR-TAY! I got the most AMAZING gifts!

Daniel got me my FIRST pair of Toms, the first season of GLEE and had the most special book made and put together for me. It was called ‘Turning 30: A Collection of Memories’. I cried, laughed and cried again as I read through this special book. It is perhaps the most thoughtful gift I’ve been given. See…Daniel made up an e-mail address…and e-mailed family and friends that had known me for a long time to send their favorite memories they have of me. Those that know me well…know that I have the world’s WORST memory…so this is JUST what the doctor ordered! {Because I LOVE it so much…I want to be sure to say ‘thank you’ to all that contributed: Mom, Michelle..Paul..Cooper, Matt my brother, Aunt Donna, Jenni, Brooke, Lisa, Lee Cunningham, JT, Grandmama, Daniel, Dad, Kym Tucker, Melody Carter, Jim, Tashara, Bird, Oli the Maltese, Brett Crisp, Shon..Lori..John..Alex, Katie, Brian..Jennifer..Halynn, & Dana.}

I also received lots of new clothes….because I am outgrowing what I currently have. You may be wondering why I would admit something like that to the world….well it’s because I asked Daniel for ONE more gift. Here’s a picture of that gift for you….

We are SOOOOOOO excited. Lots of you may be wondering about adoption…as that was something we were pursuing. But we feel like that door was closed by God for us right now and that it’s something we’ll do later in life, but just not now.

Also…I’ll be real with you…I’ve been SOOOOOOOOOO sick. That’s why the blog has been a wee bit neglected. Twelve weeks this week…and we’re looking forward to our Little Lanning’s photoshoot next week {aka: ultrasound}. Daniel has been SO great…and so helpful…and we just can’t wait!
