The birth of a child is a miracle. It’s a defining moment between two people who love each other SO much that they’ve committed to do life with no one else. Forever. My dear friend {and photographer}, Lauren Jackson, allowed me to capture that. When for a moment…the world stopped…and began all over again. Honestly, Lauren was radiant and SO joyful. I couldn’t get over how relaxed she was. I certainly think some of it had to do with her incredible husband, Matt. He was a gentle rock of encouragement and strength during the entire labor and delivery.

When we had our baby, I remembered in those moments feeling my love expand. An actual feeling in my chest. My love for my husband grew exponentially and then a new spot in my heart opened up for our lil’ juicy fruit. It’s one of my favorite moments….and like slow motion in a movie, I saw it happening for Lauren and Matt.

Lauren and Matt, I hope we can be friends for years to come and we can’t wait to watch your sweet baby Ruby grow. Thank you for allowing me to witness such a personal, wonderful and magical moment in your lives. XOXO
