We had Stevie’s birthday the last weekend in October 2011! It was epic and just what we wanted! We had Jenny from Jenny J. Cook Events plan it and dream it with us. The theme: Cookies! The meaning behind the theme: When she was super small and inconsolable, we’d sing a song I made up to the tune of “la cucaracha”…but replacing the words with, “the cookie monster…the cookie monster!”. It made sense to have something personal like that be the theme for her party!
We invited about 20-30 people that were our family and friends to my parent’s backyard for the BEST cookie dessert party EVER! We are MORE than thrilled to share it with you now that it has been featured on Occasions Magazine’s blog for Georgia parties and inspiration! A special thank you to Callie Rogers at Occasions for the feature! Click here for all of the details!
Check out our take on her birthday!
It’s crazy looking back on these images from her birthday party almost 6 months ago! Our girl has changed SO much!
These bad boys were filled with warm apple cider and hot chocolate!
Sadly, it was the COLDEST day of the year on her party. It had been warm up until that day…oh well…we partied even if the sunshine didn’t make an appearance.
We had a table for a cookie contest with icing, sprinkles, eyes and more!
Stevie’s Cookie cake!
LOVE these custom cookies that matched our barrel in the photo booth!
You say we went over-the-top? You ain’t seen NOTHIN’ yet! Check out these recycled baby food jars that were dipped in chocolate and sprinkles FILLED with vanilla milkshakes! Oh…check out that custom wood piece their sitting on. Yeah….Daniel made that.
Those amazing cupcakes were made from Stevie’s Aunt Spooky {AKA: Kymm McLean of Who’s the Fariest}. There were my FAVORITE and SO good!
Now let’s see the kids play!!!!
Stevie’s favorite person in the WHOLE world. Her Papa.
Thanks mom for stepping in and getting both of us in a picture! Stevie wasn’t sure at first about her cake, but she loved it!
Stevie’s cousin, Brock!
Jenny and I laughing it up!
Silly faces with her Uncle Matt & Aunt Katie!
Stevie’s cousin Robert. So cute!
Then all of the kids got to go home with a little custom goodness from us!
A special thanks to my {Candice’s} parents for hosting us and being such a HUGE help on Stevie’s birthday! It was so special! Jenny…you took our dreams and brought them to life…and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you for going above and beyond. Daniel…you did SO many DIY projects and dreamed up so much of this. THANK you for being the most involved and wonderful husband on the planet. Stevie says it was the BEST party and you are the best dad. Ever.
